Petra Remsing – veterinary practitioner

Coprinus is found in our latitudes on rich, unfertilized soils, in meadows, pastures and gardens. It has the property of dissolving itself, which is why the mushroom should be transported and processed very carefully.

In veterinary medicine, Coprinus is mainly used for sarcomas and pancreatic diseases. It regenerates the pancreas in pancreatitis and promotes digestion.

The most outstanding property of Coprinus is its blood sugar lowering effect, which is why it is used in both type I and type II diabetes. After taking Coprinus, there is a reduction in blood sugar levels to a similar extent as with drugs used in conventional medicine. In addition, Coprinus exerts a natural protective effect on the insulin-producing cells of the pancreas, the islets of Langerhans. In addition to normalization of blood glucose levels, there is also a decrease in circulatory disorders associated with diabetes.

Fields of application of Coprinus comatus

For mushroom powders there are many suppliers

You will find trustworthy suppliers with controlled organic cultivation in Germany, but unfortunately also less recommendable importers of cheap goods. Read what is important when buying.

Note: The described effects are based on the intake of medicinal mushroom powder prepared from the whole mushroom. Please consult your pet therapist before use.
